Creating a Caller ID

The Omnigage platform allows you to use your own telephone number as a Caller ID which will be displayed to Contacts when making outbound calls or voice engagements.

  1. Click the Settings icon in the main navigation.
  2. Click Telephony.
  3. Click the Caller IDs tab.
  4. Click the ADD CALLER ID button.
  5. Enter the telephone Number that you wish to use as a Caller ID, a Label for the Caller ID and the Is Default selection.  If using an international number, select the country from the drop-down.  You do not need to enter any Dial Codes or International Prefixes.
Setting the Is Default attribute to Yes will make this Caller ID the default selection when using the Terminal for calling features, or when creating outbound Voice Engagements.
  6. Click the SAVE CALLER ID button.
  7. The system will call the number specified as the Caller ID.
  8. After answering the verification call, enter the six-digit validation number displayed on the screen.  The system will provide audible verification that the number has been entered successfully.  The status of the Caller ID will change from PENDING to SUCCESS.
  9. Click the SAVE CALLER ID button.

Caller IDs are immediately available for immediate use after being validated.  To share access to the Caller ID with other team members, click the Collaborators tab.

  1. Click the ADD COLLABORATOR button.
  2. Choose the Access Type for the User you are granting Collaborator access to.
Read access allows a User to use the Caller ID in Engagements and Voice Calls.
Write access includes all of the permissions included with Read access, but adds the permission to rename the Caller ID.
Admin access includes all of the permissions included with Write access, but adds the permission to grant access to this Caller ID to other Users, and to delete the Caller ID.
  3. Search and select the User within the User field.
  4. Click the SAVE COLLABORATOR button.
