Telephony & Email Setup

Telephony > Caller IDs

In order to make outbound voice engagements or place calls through the Omnigage Terminal you will need to have at least one Caller ID configured on your Account.  You may validate any phone number that you have access to, including mobile phones, landlines and private branch exchange lines with extensions.  Any Phone Numbers purchased through Omnigage are automatically validated (see below).
To create a Caller ID:
  1. Click the Settings icon in the main navigation.
  2. Click Telephony.
  3. Click the Caller IDs tab.
  4. Click the ADD CALLER ID button.
  5. Enter the telephone Number that you wish to use as a Caller ID, a Label for the Caller ID and the Is Default selection.  If using an international number, select the country from the drop-down.  You do not need to enter any Dial Codes or International Prefixes.
    Setting the Is Default attribute to Yes will make this Caller ID the default selection when using the Terminal for calling features, or when creating outbound Voice Engagements.
  6. Click the SAVE CALLER ID button.
  7. The system will call the number specified as the Caller ID.
  8. After answering the verification call, enter the six-digit validation number displayed on the screen.  The system will provide audible verification that the number has been entered successfully.  The status of the Caller ID will change from PENDING to SUCCESS.
  9. Click the SAVE CALLER ID button.

Caller IDs are immediately available for immediate use after being validated.  To share access to the Caller ID with other team members, click the Collaborators tab.

  1. Click the ADD COLLABORATOR button.
  2. Choose the Access Type for the User you are granting Collaborator access to.
    Read access allows a User to use the Caller ID in Engagements and Voice Calls.
    Write access includes all of the permissions included with Read access, but adds the permission to rename the Caller ID.
    Admin access includes all of the permissions included with Write access, but adds the permission to grant access to this Caller ID to other Users, and to delete the Caller ID.
  3. Search and select the User within the User field.
  4. Click the SAVE COLLABORATOR button.

Telephony > Phone Numbers

In order to receive calls through the Omnigage Terminal, receive SMS/MMS messages or create inbound voice engagements you will need at least one Phone Number.  Omnigage provides for the native purchase of Phone Numbers from a pool of validated numbers.  Our pool of phone numbers can be searched by region or specific number sequence to match the needs of your organization.  Once you have purchased a Phone Number it is automatically validated as a Caller ID for your Account.

To purchase a new Phone Number:

  1. Click the Settings icon in the main navigation.
  2. Click Telephony.
  3. Click the Phone Numbers tab.
  4. Click the PURCHASE NUMBER button.
  5. You may search for a Telephone Number by city or by a specific digit sequence as your organization needs require.
  6. Click the BUY link for the selected Telephone Number.
  7. You will be prompted to provide a required Label for the Telephone Number.
  8. Click SAVE.

Purchased Telephone Numbers are immediately available for use in Engagements.  Purchased Telephone Numbers are automatically added as a verified Caller ID.  To share access to the Telephone Number with other team members, click the Collaborators tab.

  1. Click the ADD COLLABORATOR button.
  2. Choose the Access Type for the User you are granting Collaborator access to.
    Read access allows a User to use the Telephone Number in Engagements and see any Conversations between this Telephone Number and Contacts to which they have access.
    Write access includes all of the permissions included with Read access, but adds the permission to rename the Telephone Number.
    Admin access includes all of the permissions included with Write access, but adds the permission to grant access to this Telephone Number to other Users, and to delete the Telephone Number.
  3. Search and select the User within the User field.
  4. Click the SAVE COLLABORATOR button.

Email > Email IDs

In order to make outbound email engagements you will need at least one Email ID configured on your account.  Any email address that you have access to may be configured as an Email ID.

To setup an Email ID:

  1. Click the Settings icon in the main navigation.
  2. Click Email.
  3. Click the Email IDs tab.
  4. Click the ADD EMAIL ID button.
  5. Enter the email in the Email Address field and the Is Default selection.
    Setting the Is Default attribute to Yes will make this Email ID the default selection when using the Terminal for email features, or when creating Email Engagements.
  6. Click the SAVE EMAIL button.
  7. The system will send a message to the specified email address that contains a verification link.  Open the email message and click the link to complete the verification process.  The Is Confirmed attribute will change from No to Yes.
  8. Click the SAVE EMAIL button.

To share access to the Email ID with other team members, click the Collaborators tab.

  1. Click the ADD COLLABORATOR button.
  2. Choose the Access Type for the User you are granting Collaborator access to.
    Read access allows a User to use the Email ID in Engagements.
    Write access includes all of the permissions included with Read access, but adds the permission to rename the Email ID.
    Admin access includes all of the permissions included with Write access, but adds the permission to grant access to this Email ID to other Users, and to delete the Email ID.
  3. Search and select the User within the User field.
  4. Click the SAVE COLLABORATOR button.
To send email on behalf of a domain you will need to configure a Domain and DKIM.  Both of these steps require that you have access to the domain registrar account of the domain that you will be configuring.  Simply paste in the Key/Value pair provided in the fields with your registrar.
